Mary volunteered as a peer tutor for two years in High School prior to joining Discovery Living as a direct caregiver in 1988.  She became a community living coordinator in 1992 and has remained in that position to this date.

She holds an associate degree in handicapped services from Kirkwood Community College and has provided mentoring services for an individual with disabilities since 2009.
