Deanna graduated from Coe College with a degree in Elementary Education. In 2015, while finishing school, Deanna started at Discovery Living and fell in love with being an advocate for individuals with disabilities. Throughout her time in the field, Deanna has also worked as a job coach and a payee manager, gaining more experience with mental health and intellectual disabilities.

In 2021, Deanna came back to Discovery Living as a DSP, eventually moving to an Associate Coordinator position, and finally a Community Living Coordinator position in 2024.
