Roxanne began her journey in community-based services as a youth counselor and site-director with YMCA Child Care Program with the Before/After School Program and Summer Day Camp at the Marion YMCA + Denver, CO YMCA. Cared for youth at a Four Oaks Residential Treatment Facility as a youth counselor and a supervisor. Transitioned to Linn County Juvenile Detention Center working as a youth counselor for nine years.

In 2009, Roxanne graduated Kirkwood Community College with Assoicate Degree in Elementary Education and 2009-2011, attended Mount Mercy University’s’ Education Program, completed various placements within Elementary + Middle School Behavior Focus Rooms and integrated within the classrooms of Community College Schools, Cedar Rapids, Linn-Mar. Graduated Mount Mercy University 2012, with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
